<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more efficiently radiate heat generated from an electronic part in an ECU box for drive control of an electric motor, in an electric power steering system for offering an assist by means of an electric motor. <P>SOLUTION: The ECU box (control box) 20 comprises a body 21 and a cover 22. The body 21 has a heat radiation portion 23 serving as a heat sink, and on the heat radiation portion 23, a FET (semiconductor switching element) 35 as a heat generating part on a drive circuit board 30 is fixed separately from the board 30. The ECU box 20 can be fixed for close contact of the heat radiation portion 23 with a column housing CH to efficiently radiate heat generated from the FET 35 to the column housing CH. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
