PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network camera that transmits a picked up image by an imaging means to a file server on the Internet according to a prescribed schedule and allows a user having its account in the file server, to which the image photographed by the network camera is sent, to browse the imaged image at a time not on the schedule. SOLUTION: The network camera includes an Ethernet adaptor with a WOL terminal, a signal reception means capable of receiving a prescribed signal outputted to the WOL terminal when the Ethernet (R) adapter receives a prescribed packet, an imaging means, and a control means that controls the Ethernet adapter and the signal reception means to transmit the image picked up by the imaging means to a file server via the Ethernet adapter when the signal reception means receives a prescribed signal.
