PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a deodorant and antibacterial material which is gentle for man by using natural wood by a method wherein a specific curved face is formed on a side face of the lumber, and a body of which both end faces are made flat is formed by cutting the lumber to a suitable length with a saw blade. SOLUTION: A lumber 15a having a specific length and a specific thickness is at first formed by cutting natural wood such as japanese ceder, Japanese cypress, etc. A length and a thickness of the lumber are suitably determined according to a size of the body being an object to be manufactured. Then, both ends of the lumber 15a formed thus are fixed and the lumber is revolved, Then, cutting is carried out by applying a cutting blade 16 having a carved edge 17 from a side face of the revolving lumber 15a to form a specific curved face 20 on the side face of the lumber. Further, such the lumber 15b is cut to a suitable length with a saw blade 18 to form the body of which both end faces are made flat. Effective constituents such as hinokitiol, bitontsid, etc., are transpired, which have a deodorant function and an antibacterial function, and are used as a deodorant material and an antibacterial material. |
