PURPOSE: An apparatus for thermosensitive recording displaying multigrade is provided to restrict solution from lowering and restrict abnormal patterns from generating, and accurately express density of the gradation maintaining the solution, thereby realizing high definition and reducing data process amount. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for thermosensitive recording displaying multigrade includes a data memory(1) inputting and storing multigrade image data, a data converting part(2) converting according to the specific gravity of the gradation from the data memory, a line memory(3) converting one line into eight lines, a data transmitting part(4) outputting data of the line memory to a thermosensitive recording element, a thermistor(6) detecting the temperature of the thermosensitive recording element, a recording time control part(7) controlling a time for sensing an electric current according to the detected temperature and the specific gravity of the gradation, and a system control part(8) controlling the whole process.
