PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a hollow fiber membrane, which enables the downsizing of an installation for improving the order of crystal orientation, the improvement of production efficiency, and the reduction of production cost, and the stable production of the hollow fiber membrane having desired membrane characteristics. SOLUTION: This method for producing the hollow fiber membrane, having a spinning process for spinning a melted crystalline polymer to produce the hollow fiber and a drawing process for drawing the hollow fiber to form the porous hollow fiber membrane, is characterized by having a process for stretching and relaxing the hollow fiber between the spinning process and the drawing process.
