PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a defect probing method in which a skilled technician is not required as different from a conventional hammering method even when a defect is judged by a strike as the defect probing method, whose judgment accuracy can be enhanced and in which the defect can be probed in a short time and nondestructively. SOLUTION: The behavior of the propagation and the diffusion of striking energy at the inside of concrete is judged in such a way that a difference in a stress waveform due to the existence of the defect such as an internal crack, a cavity or like is found as an index, and the existence of the defect such as the crack, the cavity or the like as internal damage is detected.
