DEVICE FOR SAMPLING RATE CONVERSION AND METHOD THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a highly precise or inexpensive re-sampler. SOLUTION: A re-sampler device and its method is used for converting a digital input signal string (Sin ) accompanied by an input sampling rate into a digital output signal string (Sout ) accompanied by a much higher output sampling rate. Prior to interpolation, a time shit (tmod (n)/Tout ) relative to the next sampling time (ti+1 ) of the input signal string (Sin ) of each sampling time (t'n) of the output signal string (Sout ) is decided. Afterwards, a time shift (Δt(n)/Tout ) relative to a preceding sampling time (ti ) of the input signal string (Sin ) of the sampling time (t'n) of the output signal string (Sout ) is decided from the already decided time shift (tmod (n)/Tout ) relative to the next sampling time (ti+1 ).
