<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus in which vertical streak can be reduced when an LED array head is used and a high resolution image can be outputted using a small diameter beam spot. SOLUTION: The electro-photographic imaging apparatus comprises, as an exposing unit 3 for writing optically on a photosensitive body 1, an LED array head comprising an LED array substrate 302 on which a large number of LED elements 301 are arranged in the main scanning direction oppositely to the photosensitive body 1, and a lens array 303 for focusing light from the LED elements 301. The electro-photographic imaging apparatus is further provided with a beam spot diameter varying mechanism (a spring 304, a magnet 306, an electromagnet 307) for varying the beam spot diameter of the LED array head depending on the input image.</p> |
