PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thickened liquid detergent composition that has excellent detergency, foaming properties and low-temperature stability and is mainly useful for hard surface ware in a kitchen. SOLUTION: The objective liquid detergent composition includes surfactant in a range of 30-60 mass % and comprises (a) 10-35 mass % of anionic surfactant, (b) 1-15 mass % of amine oxide surfactant. The viscosity of the undiluted solution is characteristically 200-600 mPa.s at 25 deg.C, the product viscosity diluted to 50 mass % with water is less than the double of the undiluted solution, and the product viscosity diluted to 25 mass % with water does not exceed that of the undiluted solution.
