PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bumper structure for improving rigidity and external appearance. SOLUTION: A sub-assembly of bumper surface skin 10 and bumper reinforcement is disposed so that a bumper reinforcement body part 21 may be on an upper side of a bumper member 30 and be separated from a vehicle body side mounting hole of a rear part vehicle body component member 60 by a prescribed length L and from a rear face of the rear part vehicle body component member 60 by a prescribed distance D. When load of vehicle front and rear directions is applied to the bumper surface skin 10, the bumper surface skin 10, the bumper member 30 and a shock absorbing member 40 are displaced and a part of load is applied to also the bumper reinforcement body part 21, but because displacement amount of the bumper reinforcement body part 21 is small, load applied to a mounting part of a bumper reinforcement stay 23 and the rear part vehicle body component member 60 becomes small, and the mounting part of the bumper reinforcement stay 23 and the rear part vehicle body component member 60 is hardly deformed.
