PURPOSE: Provided is a coating composition for insulating non-oriented silicon steel sheet, which has excellent surface roughness, brightness, color and coating uniformity after applying the coating composition on non-oriented silicon steel sheet. CONSTITUTION: The coating composition for insulating non-oriented silicon steel sheet comprises 6.00 to 11.59 wt.% of MgO or CaO; 19.00 to 24.59 wt.% of CrO3; 11.00 to 15.74 wt.% of emulsion acryl resin; 5 to 8 wt.% of ethylene glycol; 0.01 to 1 wt.% of additive; and a balance of water.
