PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide image communication equipment which can transmit images by using network addresses corresponding to the telephone numbers of a plurality of systems. SOLUTION: The image communication equipment used for an image communication network system containing a computer network, an extension telephone network, a line wire telephone network, a first address providing device which stores the relation between extension numbers and network addresses, and a second address providing device which stores the relation between line wire numbers and network addresses is provided with a discriminating section which discriminates whether or not a telephone number inputted to facsimile equipment on the other side is utilizable, an address receiving section which receives the network address corresponding to a telephone number inputted from either the first or second address providing device based on the discriminated results of the discriminating section, and an image transmitting section which transmits the images to the image communication equipment on the other side through the computer network based on the network address.
