<p>There is provided a control system (10) for an electric power steering system which generates a steering assist force by an electric motor (25) driven on the basis of a steering torque (T) applied to an operation member (1). The control system (10) includes: a target current determining circuit (15) for generating a target current value (I) according to the steering torque (T); a compensation value determining circuit (16) for generating a compensation current value ( DELTA I) according to a time-based differential value ( DELTA T) of the steering torque (T); a waveform transforming circuit (17) for performing a waveform transformation to convert the compensation current value ( DELTA I) into a modified compensation value ( DELTA I') which sinusoidally changes with time; a circuit (18) for generating a control command value (I+ DELTA I') by superimposing the modified compensation value ( DELTA I') obtained through the waveform transformation on the target current value (I); and a motor driving circuit (19, 20, 24) for driving the electric motor (25) on the basis of the control command value (I+ DELTA I') (Fig. 1). <IMAGE></p> |
