SOLUTION: This semiconductor memory is provided with plural memory cell array banks which are divided respectively, plural memory cell array blocks of each of the plural memory cell array banks provided with the prescribed number of partial blocks to be connected respectively to plural pairs of partial local data input/output lines of groups of the prescribed number connected respectively to plural pairs of global data input/output line of the prescribed number, of groups, plural switching means which are connected respectively between the plural partial local data input/output lines of the prescribed number of groups and connect the plural pairs of partial local data input/output line of the prescribed number of groups responding to a pre-charge signal, and plural pre-charge means for pre-charging the plural pairs of partial local data input/output lines of the prescribed number of groups of each of the memory cell array blocks responding to the pre-charge signal.
