PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition which is used for forming a structure for absorbing vibrations, has an excellent damping property, and can stably absorb the vibrations in a distortion range from small distortions to large distortions and in a temperature range from a low temperature to a high temperature. SOLUTION: This rubber composition which is laminated to a metal plate to form a vibration-absorbing structure for absorbing stresses added in the direction orthogonal to the lamination direction and satisfies the following conditions (1) to (4): (1) the area (loop area) in a hysteresis curve is >=0.15J; (2) 150% modulus is <=1.00 [MPa] at 20 deg.C; (3) the ratio of a complex modulus of elasticity (E*) to the 150% modulus is <=25.00; (4) the ratio of the complex modulus of elasticity (E*) at -10 deg.C to that at 20 deg.C is <=4.00, and the ratio of the fourth modulus at -10 deg.C to that at 20 deg.C is <=4.50.
