METHOD FOR IDENTIFYING OPTIMUM CELL

PURPOSE: A method for identifying an optimum cell(base station) is provided to create and use a cell identification code of the optimum performance and output the optimum diversity effect in a soft hand over mode in accordance with the cell identification code in the case that each cell is identified in a site selection diversity transmit(SSDT). CONSTITUTION: A temporary identifier code created by using the Hadamard code during a site selection diversity transmit(SSDT) of a user(UE) is endowed to each effective cell. The user(UE) selects the primary cell by periodically measuring a receiving level of a common pilot transmitted from the effective cells. The user(UE) periodically transmits the identifier code corresponded to the selected primary cell through a feed back identifier filed(FBI) of an upward link control channel.
