PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display, illumination, signal, and warning device for informing a person of the operating state of equipment or the existence of any obstacle in traffic so that the viewer can be given the forward and backward motion impression accompanied by the change of a distance with the device and that the viewer can strongly pay attention to this by controlling the configuration of the display graphics with a lapse of time. SOLUTION: This display device is provided with a graphic displaying means constituted of light emitting, light shielding, and light reflecting elements for displaying graphics constituted with a specific configuration and a display graphic controlling means for enlarging the graphics to at least one direction according to a lapse of time. The enlargement of the display graphics can be continuously executed, or discretely executed according to the lapse of time. In discretely executing the enlargement of the display graphics, the light emitting elements arranged so as to be linearly fixed are successively lighted from the center to the periphery for example.
