DIELECTRIC CERAMIC COMPOSITION

A new dielectric composition which contains the following elements: lanthanides (Ln), Al, Ca, and, Ti as metal elements and which when these components are expressed in terms of a mole ratio as: a Ln>2x<.bAl>23<.cCaO.dTiO>2< satisfying a + b + c + d = 1; 0.1303 23< in the composition is less than 0.2. When formed into the required shape the material, can be used as a dielectric resonator at microwave frequencies. The dielectric composition exhibits such properties as a high relative permittivity ( epsilon >r<), large quality factor (Q), and a small temperature coefficient of resonant frequency ( tau >f<). Satisfactory properties are exhibited when the dielectric ceramic composition is used for a resonator or a material for circuit board substrates.
