<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a resin for a printing ink, having good solubility in a solvent for the printing ink, especially the solvent for the printing ink containing an aromatic component reduced to <=3 wt.%, having good misting and drying properties when carrying out the printing at a high speed. SOLUTION: This resin is obtained by reacting (A) a resin acid, (B) an addition and condensation product of phenol-formaldehyde, (C) a polyhydric alcohol and (D) an epoxidized olefin represented by general formula (1) (R1, R2, R3 and R4 are each independently H or an alkyl group, with the proviso that at least one of the R1 to R4 is the alkyl group, and the sum of the numbers of carbon of the alkyl groups of the R1 to R4 is 6-24). The resin is dissolved in the solvent for the printing ink containing <=3 wt.% aromatic component to provide the printing ink.</p> |
