PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lighten rotary plates, and to reduce load applied to a rotor by which an angle of rotation is detected. SOLUTION: A rotation position sensor 21 is composed of rotary plates 22 and magnetism detecting member 3. A magnetic path forming protrusion 8 is erected inside a rotating face in a base plate part 22a for the rotary plates 22, sector-shaped supporting plate parts 23a, 23b, 23c are provided in an outer circumferential part of the base part 22a, and magnetic path changing pieces 6a, 6b, 6c are extendedly formed in outer end parts of the respective supporting plate parts 23a, 23b, 23c. A detection part main body 10 of the magnetism detecting member 3 is provided with a magnet arranged in a prescribed direction with respect to the rotating face of the rotary plates 22, and a magnetism detecting element for detecting magnetic flux of the magnet, and the main body 10 is arranged between the magnetic path forming protrusion 8 and the magnetic path changing pieces 6a, 6b, 6c.
