PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce energy consumption of a power steering device, by miniaturizing a capacity of a motor-driven pump without producing an effect on steering performance. SOLUTION: An oil hydraulic pump A is constituted by connecting in parallel an engine-driven pump 1 and a motor-driven pump 2. An accumulator 6 is connected through an opening/closing valve 5 to an oil path 4 leading to a power steering gear unit 3 from the oil hydraulic pump A. A flow control valve 7 controlled with the opening in response to steering operation and an engine operating condition is interposed in the oil path 4 in the downstream from a connection part to the accumulator 6, also a booster means 9 intensifying an internal pressure of the accumulator, with a pressure of the oil path 4 in the upstream from the opening/closing valve 7 serving as a power source, is provided, so as to avoid response delay and pressure oil flow shortage which are possible when an engine is stopped. |
