PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce cost by forming a spacer of a low-cost material except for steel. SOLUTION: A double-direction thrust tapered roller bearing 1 is furnished with an inner ring 3 fitted on a shaft 2, an outer ring 10 fitted on housings 6, 7 at both side positions of this inner ring 3, a tapered roller 11 arranged free to roll between this outer ring 10 and the inner ring 3, a preload means 13 provided on the housings 6, 7 and to elastically energize the outer ring 10 in a direction of the inner ring 3, and an outer ring spacer 12 of width dimensions slightly smaller than distance dimensions between the two outer rings 10 as well as arranged on the housings 6, 7 between the two outer rings 10, and the outer ring spacer 12 is formed of plastics, hard rubber, phenol resin or epoxy resin. |
