PURPOSE: An apparatus for testing sound absorbing and cutting-off performance is provided to directly process data of sound pressure levels in a computer without any additional measuring equipment, thereby reducing the cost for testing the sound absorbing and cutting-off performance. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for testing sound absorbing and cutting-off performance includes a test tube(10) disposed with a sound absorbing sample at a side and a sound cutting-off sample in the middle selectively, a speaker(20) disposed at the other side of the test tube for outputting a sound frequency into the test tube, microphones(30,31) disposed in the test tube for measuring sound pressure levels of incident wave on the sound cutting-off sample, a transmission wave incident on the sound absorbing sample, and a reflection wave reflected against the sound absorbing sample, and a computer(40) for generating the sound frequency to be output from the speaker and processing the sound pressures detected in the microphone to operate the sound absorbing and cutting-off performance.
