A preparation of human omega-2-interferon by gene-technique, a DNA sequence coding this preparation and the preparation of prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells containing the genetic information, are described. The invention protects a relevant nucleotide sequence and the amino-acid sequence coded by it. It also protects all prokaryotic, eukaryotic cells and organisms containing the relevant sequence provided, that the preparation involved an intervention by any kind of recombinant DNA technique.
