<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure low temperature fixability and anti-hot-offsetting property and to obtain a high quality image by incorporating an iron-containing salicylic acid compound into a toner consisting essentially of a bonding resin, a releasing agent and a colorant. SOLUTION: When a toner image formed on a transfer material is passed between two rollers to carry out melting by heating and fixing, a toner consisting essentially of a bonding resin, a releasing agent, a colorant and an iron-containing salicylic acid compound is used. The iron-containing salicylic acid compound imparts superior anti-offsetting property to the toner. Since the iron-containing salicylic acid compound also imparts superior stability of a charged state to the toner, it may also be used as an electrostatic charge controlling agent in combination with a known electrostatic charge controlling agent.</p> |
