PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hold an optical connector plug orthogonally to a heating surface to terminate it without necessitating the skill of an operator by preparing a plug guide wherein a guide part into which an optical connector plug is inserted so that the optical axis of an optical fiber becomes orthogonal to the heating surface is formed in the end surface of the optical fiber. SOLUTION: A plug guide 12, wherein a guide part 12a into which an F 07 connector plug 3 is inserted so that the optical axis of an optical fiber 2b becomes orthogonal to a heating surface 11 is formed, is provided in the casing 13 of a hot plate heater 10 for terminating the optical fiber. Thus, the angles of the optical fiber 2b and a ferrule to the heating surface 11 are automatically vertically maintained just only by inserting the F 07 connector plug 3 into the inside while receiving the guide of the guiding part 12a. Also, in the heater 10, the plug guide 12 is freely attached to and detached from the heating surface 11, and whereby the plug guide 12 is replaced by the other plug guide 12 having the guide part 12a coinciding with the kind and form of the optical connector plugs having a single-core, two-core or the like.
