PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cable with high fire resistant characteristics by forming a fire resistant layer on a conductor, an insulating layer in the circumference of the fire resistant layer, and constituting a fire resistant layer of a cable of a flame retardant sheath formed in the circumference of the insulating layer with a composite insulating tape of an alumina cloth and other fire resistant material. SOLUTION: A composite insulating tape of an alumina cloth and other fire resistant material for constituting a fire resistant layer 2 is desirable to be a material formed by lining reconstituted mica with an alumina cloth, and wound or longitudinally joined on a conductor 1 to form the fire resistant layer 2. The alumina cloth uses ceramic fibers containing Al2O3 as the main component and SiO2 and others, and is suitable to contain 60 wt.% or more alumina long fibers. Reconstituted mica is lined on the alumina cloth with a silicone base adhesive. The constituting material of an insulating material 3 or the base material of a flame retardant sheath 4 is desirable to be an olefin base polymer such as low-density polyethylene. Flame retardant property is given by adding a phosphorous compound for example. |
