摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active matrix type liquid crystal display device having high display quality. SOLUTION: Each pixel electrode 51 is at least partly superimposed on a signal line, and is also connected with the signal line and a scanning line via a TFT 18. From an extending auxiliary capacitance line 52 orthogonal to the signal line, plural shield electrodes 53 with a shielding effect are staying and each of them is extending along the signal line. Each shield electrode has a 1st part 53 which is arranged to be superimposed on the side edge part of one of the two adjoining pixel electrodes and only on one side edge part of the signal line, on one pixel electrode side, and a 2nd part which is arranged to be superimposed on the side edge of the other pixel electrode and only on the other side edge part of the signal line, on one pixel electrode side, and the superimposing width of the shield electrode and the pixel electrode is wider than that of the signal line and the pixel electrode.</p>
