PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dwelling house having a living room in which residents can cheerfully and leisurely relax themselves. SOLUTION: A living room 5 is provided adjacent to a dining room 4. An opening part 52 for window to be opened/closed by a sash 52a is provided on a proximal side surface of the living room 5. An opening part 53 for outdoor doorway to be opened/closed by a sash 53a is provided on the other side in a frontage direction of the living room 5. In the living room 5, tatamis are laid on its floor, and the interior of its periphery and ceiling is finished in a western style. A terrace 6 accessible to the dining room is provided adjacent to the living room 5 through the opening part 53 for outdoor doorway. A room 57 with a wooden floor is installed on the opening part 53 side for outdoor doorway of the living room 5. A planting space 58 commanding the view of flowers and trees 59... through the opening part 52 for window is provided adjacent to the living room 5.
