PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To relieve a load in handling a camera by allowing an operator to intuitionally grasp a circumstance of an object of interest (object in question) while observing the object in question. SOLUTION: The subject video image observation system where a plurality of photographing means photograph an object, a plurality of photographed pictures are composited, a picture display means displays the synthesized picture to observe an object of observation object (hereinafter called an object), is provided with a 1st photographing means 3 that acquires a wide angle picture where a wide range including the object is photographed, a 2nd photographing means 4 that acquires a picture with a narrow angle where the object is photographed with high definition, a picture synthesis means 5 that inserts the picture with the narrow angle to a position of the object in the wide angle picture to synthesize the picture of the narrow angle with the wide angle picture and the picture display means 8 that displays the composited picture.
