PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stretch a slice flatly to receive the same by a tape even if the bonding strength of the tape is low. SOLUTION: Negative charge is applied to the surface of a solid sample by an electrode 14 and a tape 21 is positively charged by an electrode 13 and a cutter 31 is moved by a cutter feeding motor 34 to perform slicing. When the cutter 31 strikes against the solid sample 10, the output of a load detector 40 increases and a slicing start detector 41 detects the start of slicing. A control device 42 receives a signal from the detector 41 to lower the generated torque of a servo motor 28 by a servo drive unit 43 to lower the tension of the tape 21. The tape 21 adheres to the surface of the slicing start portion of the solid sample by the lowering of the tension of the tape to certainly receive the slicing start portion of a slice. Thereafter, the tape 21 is tensioned by raising the generated torque of the servo motor 28 to certainly bond the slice to the tape 21 in a flatly stretched state.
