PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a range finder having a small time parallax. SOLUTION: An active range finder which measures the distance to an object terminates the projection of light by means of a light emitting diode (IRED) 4 a signal error time before starting the storage of steady light components outputted from the IRED 4. Therefore, the time parallax of the range finder can be reduced, because the light emitting duration of the IRED 4 can be shortened. |
