PURPOSE: An air flowmeter of car is provided to measure only forward flow supplied by an air-cleaner accurately though air from an engine flows backward in a form of pulsating flow. CONSTITUTION: An air flowmeter of car includes a main body(2) which makes a passway(2a) for air, a measure tube(14) which is placed in the same direction as air flow in the passway(2a) and a measure module(1) which is installed in the main body(2) including a detect element(17,18) which is installed in the measure tube(14) for detecting a flux and velocity of air which passes through the measure tube(14). A protect plane of inflow of backward flow(B) is to protect inflow of backward flow perpendicularly corresponding to a direction of inflow of backward flow in the passway(2a) of the main body(2) close to an exit of the measure tube(14). A column(3) has a slope which slopes corresponding to the measure tube(14) so that air from the measure tube(14) flows smoothly.
