PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid a clogging phenomenon from occurring during the period of storage and feeding of a powdery material by providing a heater on the wall surface of a hopper, and thereby heating powder. SOLUTION: The wall surface 3 is provided with heating means 7 comprising a line heater, and the wall surface 3 of the hopper 1 is heated as required in order to indirectly heat a powdery material 8 preserved within the hopper 1. For such heating means 7, there is used a line heater or a heater for the purpose of saving spaces and heating the wall surface 3 effectively, which is affixed on the outer wall surface of the hopper 1 or sealed in the inner part of the wall surface 3 in advance for heating by making an electrification to the heater. When heating is done within the range of a heating temperature of 40-60 deg.C, since no clogging of the powdery material 8 exists within the hopper 1, as a result, a fluidity is added to, a clogging of the powdery material is solved, so that the inside material 8 can be carried out effectively. No heating is required throughout the preservation of the material 8, and it is sufficient that heating is conducted only for the time of the order of a temperature rise of powder 8 to a predetermined temperature.
