PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form an excellent image by accurately detecting toner deposition quantity on the test toner image by providing a reflection body for correcting projection light emitted from the light receiving element at the image density sensor correction time. SOLUTION: This image forming device is provided with an image density sensor 5 reflection type, facing the surface of an intermediate transfer belt 16, and being arranged with a specified distance from the above surface. By the above image density sensor 5, the toner deposition quantity on the color test toner image T formed on the intermediate transfer belt 16 surface is detected. When the color test toner image T passes through the image density sensor 5, the infrared light projected from the light emitting element is put on the color test toner image T. In such a manner, the diffusion reflected light is generated, and the light receiving element of the image density sensor 5 detects this light. At this time, the light of the light quantity corresponding to the toner deposition quantity on the color test toner image T is made possible to enter the light receiving element, and the device is made possible to obtain the sensor output in accordance with the light receiving quantity. The device adjusts the value of bias voltage based on this sensor output light. |
