PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To illustrate the emergency trip of a gas meter or the content of an alarm display so as to be easy for a user of gas to understand by controlling a dummy display lamp so as to be flashed in the same flashing pattern as the flashing part pattern of flashing the display lamp of an actual gas meter. SOLUTION: An optional emergency trip cause/alarm reason selection switch 2 is pressed, whereby a dummy display lamp 4 is flashed in a pattern corresponding to the operated switch 2. In case of a switch 21 having 'seismoscope, pressure reduction' printed nearby, when the emergency trip valve of the gas meter is cut because of the signal input from a seismoscope or pressure switch built in the gas meter or an externally provided gas leakage alarm, the dummy display lamp is flashed in the same pattern as the actual flashing of the display lamp of the actual gas meter. Accordingly, the emergency trip of the gas meter emergency trip valve or content of alarm display displayed by the flashing of the display lamp can be illustrated so as to easy for a user of gas to understand.
