PURPOSE: A cylinder liner is provided to prevent the pollution of the inner surface of an annular groove and a liner by filling the space between piston rings with clean compressed air and to improve the operation condition and the span of life. CONSTITUTION: The cylinder liner(1) for an inner combustion liner has:a port(8); a piston(5) having piston rings(19, 21-23); and recesses(25);:Herein, the piston is installed at the position between a bottom center exposed to upper part of the upper surface(9) of the piston and a top center where the piston is placed on the highest point of the cylinder liner to move up and down. The outer surface of the piston rings glides along the inner surface(13) of the liner. And the recesses are placed opposite to the upper piston ring when the piston is on the upper died center.
