PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform continuous machining by a formed electrode and a barlike electrode. SOLUTION: An electrode guide 2 can move vertically and in the right and left directions by a thin hole guide jig 4. The thin hole guide jig 4 is fixed on a structural ram 18 through a rotary actuator 16. The rotation of the rotary actuator 16 is regulated by a block 19 after it rotates by 90 degrees. Since a pipe electrode 1 can be guided by the electrode guide 2 in this condition, thin hole machining or profile machining becomes possible. When the rotary actuator 16 is rotated reversely, the electrode guide 2 is sprung up and retracted. Since the electrode guide 2 is retracted in this condition, a formed electrode can be used.
