PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the other person from using an IC card by providing a control means for ON control to the drive of that IC card when prescribed fingerprint information specifying the owner of that IC card is read through a fingerprint reading means. SOLUTION: When a finger touches the window part of an IC card 1, the fingerprint of the finger touching the window part is read by a fingerprint reader R. The read fingerprint is collated with a fingerprint previously stored in a memory. When the coincidence of collation can be provided, namely, when the user of the IC card 1 is coincident with the true owner of the IC card 1 and the IC card 1. is located within the communication range of a card processor G, data are exchanged between the IC card 1 and the card processor G. When the fingerprint of the finger touching the window part of the IC card 1 is not coincident with the fingerprint stored in the memory, it is discriminated for the IC card 1 that the user is not the true owner, data exchange is not started between the IC card 1 and the card processor G, and the use of the IC card 1 is inhibited. |
