PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for preventing a fluorescent tube from falling, which can prevent the fluorescent tube from falling out of a socket of a luminaire body even if the fluorescent tube is rotated by vibration during conveying, or even if the fluorescent tube is accidentally rotated by touch of a child. SOLUTION: Two poles of parallel electrode pins 7, 7 projectingly provided at both ends of a fluorescent tube 6 are elastically held with a pair of sockets 5 oppositely provided to a luminaire body. In this luminaire, each the socket 5 has an insertion opening 8 for accepting the electrode pins 7, 7 of the fluorescent tube 6, and guide grooves 10 which extend from the insertion opening 8 to prescribed connecting parts 9 of the socket 5 so as to guide the electrode pins 7, 7 to the connecting parts 9, while the insertion opening 8 is provided with a prevention means 11. The prevention means 11 prevents the electrode pins 7, 7, which are inserted into the prescribed positions of the guide grooves 10 through the insertion opening 8 from a direction orthogonal to a tube axis of the fluorescent tube 6, from coming away through the insertion opening 8.
