PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve an excellent accuracy of machined surfaces by easily and surely adjusting the mounting position of a throwaway tip in a throwaway type face milling cutter. SOLUTION: In a throwaway type face milling cutter in which a throwaway tip 9 taking the form of a flat plate is removably mounted on a tip mounting seat 6 formed on the outer peripheral part of the end of a tool main body 1, an adjustment means 11 having both a supporter 12, which includes an abutment part 12B abutting against the peripheral surface 9C of the throwaway tip 9 facing the rear end of the tool and a deforming part 12C formed to meander toward the front end of the tool and being elastically deformable, and a wedge member 13 having a wedge part 13C pressing the abutment part 12B toward the front end of the tool, is provided on the side of the tip mounting seat 6 facing the rear end of the tool, so as to fine-tune the position of the throwaway tip 9 in the direction of the axis O of the tool main body 1.
