PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a picture projector where a projection range is moved in parallel with a screen without deteriorating the luminance of a picture to be projected even in the case of using a reflection modulating element. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a light source part 2 emitting illuminating light, the reflection type modulating element 3 modulating and reflecting the illuminating light from the light source part 2 in accordance with the picture, a condenser lens 4 arranged before the reflection type modulating element 3, a projecting lens 6 projecting light reflected by the reflection type modulating element 3 on the screen 5, a first supporting mechanism 10 shifting the projecting lens 6 and a second supporting mechanism 20 shifting the condenser lens 4. Both supporting mechanisms 10 and 20 are provided with a driving mechanism such as a motor and can be electrically controlled, and are controlled by a control circuit (computer) 40 that receives a command from a range shifting switch 30 operated by a user. |
