PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new polynucleotide having a high identity to the nucleic acid sequence encoding H-SGK2 polypeptide having a specific amino acid sequence, and useful for curing and diagnosis, etc., of inflammation, septic fever, autoimmune disease, infectious disease, aphrenia, AIDS, cancer, etc. SOLUTION: This newly isolated polynucleotide has the nucleotide sequence having, in an entire length, at least an 80% identity to the nucleotide sequence encoding H-SGK2 polypeptide expressed by the formula and still having the activity of H-SGK2 polypeptide, or has the complementary sequence corresponding to the nucleotide sequence. The polypeptide is useful for curing and diagnosis, etc., of inflammation, arthritis, septic fever, autoimmune disease, rejection against graft, infectious disease, aphrenia, ischemia, renal disease, AIDS, cancer, atherosclerosis, Alzheimer's disease, etc. The polynucleotide is prepared by the standard cloning and screening procedures from a cDNA library derived e.g. from human brain (formation hippocampalis) through the tag analysis. |
