A lubricating composition for two-stroke engines comprises at least 50% by volume of a liquid polybutene, and 0À5-10% by volume of known 2-stroke engine lubricant additives, the balance being mineral oil. The liquid polybutene may have a M.W. of 250-800 and may be hydrogenated. The lubricant additive may be a superbased alkaline earth metal petroleum sulphonate or fatty acid polyamide. The lubricating composition may be mixed with 10-100 volumes of gasoline per volume of lubricant for use as a 2-stroke motor fuel. |
