The invention concerns a household appliance (11) in contact with an aqueous medium, in particular a smoothing iron, comprising a water circuit passing at least partially through a section (1) containing a disincrustant (3), characterised in that the disincrustant is obtained by cross-linking or hardening of an organosilic system with disincrustant activity comprising: an ingredient (A) consisting in a polyorganosiloxane composition, hardenable into a silicon elastomer at room temperature (23 DEG C) or by the effect of a temperature higher than room temperature, at least partially cross-linked or not, permeable to water vapour; and an ingredient (B), which is hydrophilic and osmotically active, consisting in an active disincrustant substance (B1) on its own or combined with an auxiliary hydrophilic agent (B2), dispersed homogeneously in the silicon ingredient (A), further characterised in that the active disincrustant substance is released in course of time, in an aqueous medium, out of the silicon ingredient (A) hardened into elastomer, according to kinetics substantially of order zero. |
