The camera has a housing (11) which can accept a replaceable first lens (21) with an automatic aperture adjustment mechanism and a manual setting mode, in which the aperture value is set an actuating element on the lens, or a second lens without an aperture setting element. Lens data for the first and second lenses are held in a memory (RAM) inside the camera housing. A selection processor (12) selects one of the exposure modes according to the lens data. The memory holds aperture setting information and aperture control data.
