<p>A nonstick coating composition for mold surfaces is disclosed which coating has superior release properties and imparts a matte finish to the molded article and maintains these performance characteristics over protracted periods of use. The disclosed coating composition comprises a filled fluoropolymer and polymer binder, where the filled fluoropolymer comprises an inorganic filler particle which is wholly or partially encapsulated by a fluoropolymer powder which composition when applied to a mold surface produces a surface profile with an average roughness Ra of 1 to 15 microns after spraying and curing.</p> |
