Openings are located in the lower end portion of the canister (20) so that solid dry chemical sanitizing elements (T) located in the lower end portion of the canister (20) can be contacted by water in the erosion reservoir (45) to erode and dissolve the solid elements (T) to chemically treat water flowing out of the erosion reservoir (45) into the collection reservoir (4). :
