<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify repair work at an executing job site, by projecting a plug body in the center of the faying surface of a synthetic resin-made saddle curved at the predetermined curvature, and embedding a heating wire in the fitting surface of the saddle except for the plug body. SOLUTION: In repair work, the damaged part A of a piping P1 is temporarily repaired by a tape and the like, endless gas joints (a) are connected to the upstream and downstream sides of the piping P1 positioned near to the damaged part A, a passing hole is opened in the pipe wall of the piping P1 , and the endless gas joints (a), (a) are connected to each other by a bypass piping P2 . A fluid flow in a pipe is shut out by an air bag and the like inserted in the piping P1 , the bypass piping P2 is removed after the damaged part A is repaired, a plug 1 is brought into contact with the peripheral surface of the piping P1 , a plug body 12 is inserted in the passing hole, and a seal ring 2 is brought into pressure contact with the circumferential wall of the passing hole. When a heating wire 3 is heated, the fitting surface of the plug 1 and the peripheral surface of the piping P1 are simultaneously molten and connected to each other. Fluid in the pipe may not be leaked even though the seal ring 2 is tightly stuck to the circumferential wall of the passing hole so as to secure sealed properties and deposition connection is not sufficient.</p> |
