PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermosensitive recording material capable of forming a high-quality magenta type image and exhibiting superior raw stock storage stability and high in background whiteness and superior in light resistance of both an image part and nonimage part. SOLUTION: This thermosensitive recording material has, on a support, a heat sensitive recording layer containing a diazonium salt, preferably, microencapsulated and as a coupler at least one kind of pyrazolo[1,5- a]pyrimidinedione compound represented by the formula in which R<1> is H or an alkyl or the like; R<2> is H, a halogen, an alkyl, cyano or the like; and R<3> is H, an alkyl, an aralkyl or the like. |
